Hey everyone, I think you have all heard this theory but I'll relay it again.
Bornstellar, the Forerunner who would become the Iso-Didact, has been linked to John before. The fact they both awakened the same Didact and how the Librarian claims to have put seeds that would have led to a revelation; that revelation we still do not yet know. She could have been talking about simply the Master Chief killing the Didact at the end of Halo 4/Escalation or she could be talking about an even bigger threat. I think you know what I'm talking about. The Iso-Didact was the person who led the Forerunner armies against the Flood and was the person who helped fire the rings. The quote from 343 Guilty Spark saying the Master Chief asked him if he could fire the rings is far fetched at best, but it could hold truth.
If the Librarian knew the Flood would return and there would be an eventuality that would test all sentient beings, why not give a human the genes of Bornstellar, the leader of Forerunner armies and lighter of the Rings? It seems like a very good plan and maybe this is just an explanation for the events of Halo 3, or could be an indication for things to come. As we know "colonies are unexpectedly attacked" and the Arbiter and Locke need the Chief, so could this all be leading to a return of the Flood?
Leave your ideas below!

I have sooooo much to say on this topic, but unfortunately I can't. Halo Archive is currently writing a blog that kind of expands the idea of this theory. It includes the geas idea you have here between Master Chief and Bornestellar, but goes a little farther than this. Would you mind if I posted a link to that blog once its finished?
